THE BOULDER CONCERT CHORALE
Timothy Snyder, DirectorThe Boulder Concert Chorale is our organization’s largest performing ensemble. A mixed chorus of 140 voices, the Chorale each season combines with orchestra in performance of large choral-orchestral masterworks.
The Boulder Concert Chorale is an auditioned group. All singers must have an audition. Current members will be auditioned in May. Candidates from the community will audition in August/September.
For returning members, the 20 minute audition will include singing an excerpt from last season's repertoire and learning an excerpt from a new piece (in quartets), and individual vocalization and feedback.
For new members, the 10 minute audition will include vocalization, aural recall, and singing an excerpt from and unfamiliar piece.
Current annual membership dues for the Boulder Concert Chorale are $110 plus the purchase of all music required for performances. These dues include fees for two Saturday retreats.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with announcments and marketplace at 7:15 p.m., at Atonement Lutheran Church (near Baseline Rd. & Foothills Parkway) in Boulder. Additional dress rehearsals are scheduled as part of final concert preparation. See the membership calendar for rehearsal schedule details and exceptions.
