Concert: Postcards from Childhood
Join us for the inaugural concert of our 46th Season, featuring songs inspired
by youth and childhood from the Boulder Children's Chorale and the Boulder
Chamber Singers. A select ensemble of singers from within the Boulder
Chorale, the Chamber Singers will perform Eric Whitacre's whimsical setting
of the poetry of Ogden Nash, the song-cycle Animal Crackers, as well as works
by Aaron Copland and John Rutter.

Venus and Adonis
In 1683 John Blow composed an inventive masque for the entertainment of the king, history's first English-language opera. This witty tale of gods and mortals, love and loss, comes alive in BCOC's concert version, the latest in their series of 17th-Century Treasures.

Guest Artists: Amanda Balestrieri (soprano), David Farwig (baritone), Robert Sussuma (countertenor)

Simple Gifts
Be our guests as the Boulder Chorale and the Boulder Children's Chorale
present a diverse seasonal program of carols, songs and chants from
various holiday traditions. From the traditional works of Vaughan Williams,
Mendelssohn, Poulenc, and Copland to contemporary holiday favorites and
carol sing-a-longs, the Boulder Chorale's annual holiday celebration includes
something for everyone! The program's centerpiece is Benjamin Britten's
classic Ceremony of Carols, accompanied by guest harpist Donald Hilsberg.

The Dart of Love
Join us for a romantic evening of music as the Boulder Chorale Chamber Singers present "The Dart of Love".
Enjoy some of the greatest love songs ever composed; classic works from Claudio Monteverdi and Johannes Brahms join modern masterpieces from Samuel Barber, Eric Whitacre, Eric William Barnum, and a medley of love songs by Cole Porter and George & Ira Gershwin. The People's Chorus
Independent voices unite in community song! The Boulder Chorale present
the choral works of American composer Aaron Copland, including the
inspiration for our season title, The Promise of Living. In addition, the
members of the Boulder Chorale will join together to undertake their greatest
challenge yet -- a rarely-heard performance of Thomas Tallis' forty-part
Renaissance motet, Spem in alium.

The Boulder Chorale concludes its 46th concert season with a special
