Supporting the Boulder Chorale

Every year the Boulder Chorale relies on a talented group of music professionals, staff, volunteers and board members to prepare and produce high caliber performances in Boulder and neighboring communities. At the heart of its mission, the Chorale aims to expand community awareness and appreciation of the choral arts using a multi-faceted approach. We open membership to all interested singers, we design our concert programs to attract diverse audiences and we price Chorale concert tickets reasonably.

We believe every member of our community should have access to live performances of classical music. The Boulder Chorale sponsors several community outreach programs towards this end, including the$5 Tickets for Children program ($5 concert tickets for children 12 and under) and the Angel Ticket program which distributes complimentary concert tickets to local organizations that serve the diverse needs of the community.

Now in its second year, the High School Choristers Program has a two-fold mission: to support the work of our area high school choral programs by providing an opportunity for students to study and perform a major work with the Boulder Chorale and Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, and to bring to our members and audiences a rewarding collaboration with some of our community's young singers.

We rely on a deep pool of financial resources to meet the demands associated with our activities and productions every year. Revenues from ticket sales and membership cover only about half of the annual operating expenses of the Boulder Chorale. The remainder is met by generous donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.
